We had a day packed full of interested prospects at The Enclave at Waverly Park – all tours were FULL!
We received tons of positive feedback on our models and our visitors were pleasantly surprised our homes include solar and tankless water heaters.
The design studio also received a considerable amount of praise as the visitors were pleased and interested by the amount of offerings.

I am excited to see the first houses at our newest community, The Enclave at Waverly Park in Mountain View, starting to take shape. We have three model homes under construction and, thanks to our fantastic construction group and sub contractors, these homes are going up fast!
There are few things more rewarding in life than seeing one’s work efforts turn into a tangible reality, especially when it is new homes for families to live in and enjoy for years to come.
To add to the excitement, we made a recent decision to include solar photovoltaics on all homes and make that a standard feature for all of the 53 homes in this community.  This means that  While PVs (photovoltaics) are becoming more mainstream, they are still a significant cost item in new home construction.  (more…)

An article in Fortune Magazine recently, Green Myths Debunked, talked about everything from bottled water (tap water is safer) to CFLs (make the switch from incandescent today!) to Christmas trees (yes it is better to have a real one than a fake one) and many more.  This got me thinking about our own communities and what really matters about green.
There is a lot of talk about green in homebuilding. Â We are proud to have had high standards in our homes that were initiated with sustainability in mind long before sustainability was trendy. Â (more…)

The Wall Street Journal 2009 Technology Innovation Awards article got me thinking with everything from paper-thin flexibile speakers to small, lightweight fuel cells to EcoRock (a drywall substitute), there is a lot of innovation happening in technology to make our lives easier and more environmentally friendly.
For homes, we’re hearing about solar technology to smart grids to better refrigeration – there is so much being designed to make us more efficient. Â Now, since some of the technology is still so new, it is still cost prohibitive for us consumers to install in our homes. Â As the technology becomes more mainstream and costs go down, we’re sure to adopt it more and more.
Have you tried any of the new technologies in your home?
What ideas for innovation do you have for your new home to make it even better?
