A smaller group took our latest poll, but looks like most of us are commuting an hour to work. Â Makes the convenience of some of our communities seem very appealing. Â Merimont and Rosewood are minutes from BART. Â Redwood Gate, Satake Estates and Village Square are just minutes from Caltrain. Â Is it time to make your commute easier?
The next poll is up now, where is your favorite Farmer’s Market?

It’s Spring and that is a great thing as Baseball, the favorite spring past time, is almost ready for opening day. Â And, baseball is also the winner in our recent Social SummerHill poll by a vote over football as the sport you enjoy watching live. Â In the other category, there were 2 votes for tennis & 2 votes for billiards, guess it is time to check out billiards.
The next poll is now up – how far is your commute?

As we get ready to enjoy Thanksgiving with our families, we realize that we have a lot for which we can be thankful. This year has been fraught with challenges for many and we haven’t been immune to those challenges. We are a smaller company this year that we were last year.
We’re fortunate to have a family like atmosphere that enabled our team to rise to the new challenges by taking on new responsibilities to exceed our goals.  We’re even more fortunate to have an executive team that has helped us navigate these times through carefully navigating the business needs to mentoring the team to successfully achieve new goals.
There has been a lot of excitement for our company on a personal front as well – several new engagements, a few new babies plus a few on the way, several new homeowners, and much more.
We’re also grateful for the new homeowners we’ve welcomed this year at Echelon, Lane Woods, Merimont, Park Station, Parkwood, Redwood Gate, Rosewood, and Village Square.  (more…)

One?! That’s it?!
That’s right… 15 months and 74 happy homeowners later, only one home remains at Echelon in Palo Alto.
Think back to June of 2008. What were you doing? Finishing up the school year? Planning a summer camping trip with the family? I distinctly remember June 2008 because it was hot… very hot. (more…)

As we all try to reduce our carbon footprint, we’re trying to be in our cars less and less, which means we’re looking to get what we need close to home. At SummerHill, we build infill neighborhoods, a fancy way to say that our neighborhoods are close to everything you need.
In a recent article for CNN Money, David Futrelle wrote about putting a price on walkability. Part of the search process for many homebuyers is determining how their potential new home will impact their life – convenience definitely adds a positive impact for a new home for all homebuyers.
