A Grand Opening and Camping

 

So this morning I was planning to write about the Satake Estates grand opening on Saturday, which was amazing – over 200 people visited the models.  Debbie had lots of yummy treats beautifully arranged in the Residence Two model. 

The weather was great.   The doors to the backyards were open – I could just imagine sitting in the yard and enjoying a gathering with friends.  The homes really live well for outdoor and indoor gatherings. 

Okay, so Satake Estates was amazing, but then I got an email this morning that blew me away….

We had people camping out at Parkwood Friday night waiting for the final Redwood Collection release. 

Camping?  Yes, camping. 

Late last week, we got notice that we would finally release the final Redwood Collection homes at Parkwood on Saturday.  We only sent out the email to the interest list on Friday morning, so we were totally amazed by how many of you joined us for the sales release.

So yes, we sold all of the homes that we released this weekend.  Incredible.

We’d been talking for a few weeks how the market is starting to feel different.  It really feels like we’re back in 2003 or in a booming market.  A few of my coworkers are looking for homes right now, and I keep hearing from them that by the time that they get to a listing, it’s already sold.

Over 75% of the California tax credit has already been claimed.  Now, California hasn’t sent all of the checks yet, but that is a whole lot of money in just a few short months – over $72 million dollars!
