Cozy and Warm Wishes for the Holidays

With all of this cold, wet weather, we hope that you stay cozy and warm at the holidays.    If you’re looking to keep your heating system functioning well during this time, we have some great tips here.

The throw blanket at our white elephant gift exchange yesterday was a bit hit!  Maybe that’s because throw blankets are an inexpensive way to keep warm during this season by keeping the heat down.

However you choose to stay warm this holiday season, we send you warm wishes for happy holidays and a beautiful new year!

The Holidays and Property Taxes

If you are a new homeowner, you are probably becoming familiar with the news that the due date for property taxes like the holidays arrive in December.

In our sales meeting on Monday, someone from our team shared that they were going to drive to the city to personally deliver their taxes when I shared the news that you can pay your taxes online.  Since even our sales team didn’t know about this great option, I thought it was certainly worth sharing with you!

This is a simple way to further your Green efforts  and save time.  Be sure to allow enough time for the payment to process.

Counties offer options to pay by e-check or credit card.  Some counties do not charge a fee when you pay with an e-check, however there is always extra fee from credit card companies that the counties pass onto property owners.  See below for more information

December Holiday Design Idea

If you are like me, you LOVE receiving the holiday cards in the mail.

One of my dearest friends showed me a great way to add the holiday cards to your decorating for the holidays.  Best part – it just takes some yarn and mini wood clothespins from Michael’s.

I used the hooks at the top of our bookshelves and attached the yarn to either side across the windows in the back of our living room.  Another option would be to use small picture hangers, also available at Michael’s.   (more…)

The hills are alive with the sound of….

Merimont!  Okay, maybe a cheesy take on the Sound of Music soundtrack, but…

Merimont is a special find.  This community is nestled in the San Bruno hills overlooking the San Francisco Bay.
